Huawei is turning on the heat for the Indian market with multiple launches within the next 2 months. We are already aware of the Vision smartphone, but in addition to that three more Android powered handsets will be released.
According to our source, “Sonic, Boulder and Gaga smartphones will be released by November. They are budget smartphones and will be priced below Rs 15,000.” There is also potential for another budget Android smartphone Blaze to make entry in the Indian markets by November.
The Huawei Vision seems to be a top-of-the-line smartphone. Encapsulated in a 121g Candybar body, the Vision sports a 3.7-inches screen size. It is equipped with a 1 GHz processor along with 512 MB RAM. Running on Android Gingerbread it is the most advanced smartphone from Huawei till date.
The Huawei Sonic on the other hand will come with a 3.5-inch TFT LCD. A touchscreen Android Gingerbread device it packs in a Wi-Fi Hotspot, Huawei SNS management and one key-access to Huawei’s cloud service – the Huawei hi-space. The device will be powered by a 600 MHz processor along with 256 MB RAM and 3.2-megapixel camera.
The Boulder will be a low-end smartphone. An Android Froyo enabled QWERTY phone, it offers a 2.6-inch TFT LCD touchscreen along with 256 MB RAM, MicroUSB support, GPS and up to 32 GB MicroSD support.
The fourth smartphone Gaga sports a 2.8-inch HVGA and is powered by a Android Froyo. It runs on a 528 MHz processor and comes with a 256 RAM. The handset also packs in a 3.2-megapixel camera and offers MicroSD card support up to 16 GB. Powered by a 1200 mAh battery, the device only weighs 100g.
All the 3 smartphones, apart from vision are expected to be priced below Rs. 15,000
But, that’s not all.
While the phones are headed for a November release come October, Huawei will launch its first tablet the MediaPad. The MediaPad is a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. It offers up to 32 GB MicroSD support along with a MicroUSB, built-in MIX, HDMI support and a USIM card slot.
Altogether, it seems to be an exciting festive season with a load of devices from Huawei coming our way.
